Prince Islands
It is said that since the Istanbul islands consisting of nine islands were the penal colonies of the courtiers in the Byzantine Period, it was named as the Princes' Islands. Only five islands out of nine (Büyükada, Heybeliada, Burgazada, Kınalıada, Sedef Adası) are used as residential areas. The Princes' Islands are some of the protected areas of Istanbul, which has a different beauty in all seasons. You can reach the islands by making a pleasant voyage with the ferries or motorboats departing from Kadıköy, Kabataş and Bostancı. The islands hiding a different side of Istanbul offer you a different experience within Istanbul.
