Haydarpasa Train Station
Located on the Asian side of Istanbul, Haydarpaşa Train Station was built in 1908 as the departure point of the Istanbul – Baghdad railroad route. This historical building asserts itself as a prominent landmark. As the site of many Turkish films with “arrival to Istanbul” scenes, Haydarpaşa Train Station sustained extensive damage during a conflagration in 2010 and now waves wearily to passers-by.
