Yildiz Park
Favoured during the Ottoman era; it was bought by Murat IV, who gave it to his daughter Sultan Kaya as a present. The park has hosted many festivities during the Tulip Period, which relates to the ornamental style of the locality. Today, the park is frequented by the citizens of Istanbul that are looking for a romantic promenade. Alongside its romantic outlook, the park is also one of the rare green spots in Istanbul. Galata Tower
Built in 528; used as dungeon in the 15th century and fire observatory in the 16th century, the great landmark of the Genoese architecture from which Hezarfen Ahmet Çelebi took his flight on wooden wings, now serves as a touristic site.
