Great Mecidiye Mosque (Ortakoy)

The quite elegant mosque was built on a unique location in Boğaziçi. The wide and high windows were placed accordingly to take the changing lights of Bosporus inside the mosque. If you haven't taken a photo with the mosque and the Bosporus Bridge behind you as the silhouette of Istanbul, nobody will believe you have been to Istanbul.

St. Irene
